The girl with the beautiful soul

I couldn’t recognize her: 

The reflection of the broken girl staring back at me 

The tears wouldn’t cease from her eyes 

What happened to her?

What happened to the happy girl who couldn't stop smiling?  

What happened to the halo that surrounded her? 

It is now replaced with darkness 

Her beautiful brown eyes are now filled with hatred  

Will she ever come back? 

The girl with the beautiful soul 

Will she let the darkness overpower her? 

I can see it

I can feel it 

It’s too late 

She can’t handle the pain
