Amsterdam sticks with me and I can still vividly remember its natural beauty. I specifically remember a picture that I took, which focused on a red flower with the city in the background–it inspired me to write this poem.
Red Flower
Red Flower.
Your beauty shines through
In the glimpse of the light
Captured perfectly on camera
Fading the scene behind.
Red Flower.
Your sight is such a pretty thing,
Appeared by coincidence
A look that is so particular but
Gives wonder to the eye.
Red Flower.
Your simplicity and color
Bare no exaggeration.
Placement maybe?
Flower you are and red you remain.
