Studying abroad is truly a life changing experience in many ways. On my journey through Europe, I decided to pay tribute to each of the countries that I visited through the art of poetry. The poems are written in different forms and capture my time in each of the countries. I hope that you enjoy reading about my study abroad journey!

Greece

In Europe, Athens was my home for four months and forever has a special place in my heart. Exploring the parts where I lived and traveling to Greek Islands has inspired me to write two poems:

Set Sail

Sailing through waters.

Standing on black sand beaches.

Speechless from all its beauty.

Surrounded by blue and white.

Sunsets that leave no room for imagination.

Santorini, you are a dream come true.

Mystery Discovered

I know a place filled with

Myths and legends that come to life

And where gods and goddesses rule the world.

I know a place where marble is of excess

And where blue and white paint the land.

I know a place where Olympians were birthed

And where their history lies.

I know a place of Ancient Times

And where it can be seen in modern day.

I know a place that holds the heart of many

and where it remains.

I know a place of mystery

And where all can be discovered.

A place of past, present, and future:
