I am half Italian and my family celebrates the Italian-American way. It was very interesting and eye-opening to compare and contrast the Italy “I knew” and the Italy that I experienced.

The Italy I Knew
Green, white, and red flood through your veins
Sunday dinners are nonnegotiable
Family is everything

Eat every scrap and lick the plate clean
Traditions are how we honor our ancestors
Church every week no sleeping in
Italian is who you are!
The Italy I Experienced
