Lasell University is a college that houses many different clubs and activities. One of these clubs is called Her Campus. Her Campus at Lasell is one chapter of an organization that is spread across the globe. Universities all over the world have their own chapters of Her Campus exactly like Lasell does and, as a club, we all do the same kinds of activities.
Her Campus is fairly straightforward: articles are written each week and posted on the organization's website. Along with writing articles, each chapter has its own teams made up of four groups: Editing, Marketing, Social Media, and Events. Members of the club pick a team they want to be a part of and then help with tasks assigned to those teams throughout the semester. Within each team, there are directors and assistant directors; here at Lasell, I am the Marketing Director.
Writing articles for Her Campus is a very unrestricted experience. You are allowed to write about whatever interests you whether it’s beauty, health, entertainment, literature, etc. My favorite topics to write about are books I’ve read/want to read and crocheting.
I love being a part of Her Campus not only because it is about something I love to do, writing, but it’s also a very welcoming environment. I have become very close with the other students in Lasell’s chapter of Her Campus and I look forward to our meetings each week. This article about Her Campus is the first in a series I will do that delves into what exactly Her Campus is as an organization, as well as what Lasell students who are a part of it do.
