Have you ever had that moment where you saw something really cool and wanted to try it out? I had that feeling when reading The Players' Tribune.
Often times we see a person of high social status act/behave a certain way in public, and think we know them. The Players’ Tribune does a great job of allowing athletes an opportunity to open themselves up to their fans. Their stories range from stories of ultimate triumph, unbearable struggle, promoting a cause, offering insight, etc.

After a year or two of reading and analyzing, I decided to try a similar project for an Honors component, a passion project if you will. That is how I came up with the idea for Laser Focus. Instead of professional athletes, Laser Focus will allow a digital platform for Honors students at Lasell College to write about a wide range of topics.
I am a senior in the final lap of this race called college. Even though I created the idea of Laser Focus, it will take a team effort from members of the Honors community. The ultimate goal is to have Laser Focus grow for years to come, not just a one-semester project that concludes at the end of the school year.
Everyone has a story, no matter who you are. Through this online publication, members of the Lasell community will connect with one another.
I have plenty of experiences, thoughts, and insight I would like to share. However, the focus should not be solely on me. Through Laser Focus, the spotlight should be shared by anybody and everybody associated with the Honors program.
Welcome aboard and lets connect with one another in a divided world!
